“The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.”-Psalms 9:17
Sinful men do not wish to hear that judgment awaits them. That God, the Judge of all the earth, has forever ruled against their sin, and your will to gratify yourself is totally contrary to a holy God.
Mankind is faced with the universal problem of sin. Sin, the willful transgression against God separates you from God. God, who is just and holy must judge sin or else he is no longer just. Yet, if he were to distribute His justice on the whole of mankind, we would be obliterated from the earth in a day. Therefore, the question comes to us from Job chapter twenty-four: “How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?” The answer is Christ, and only Christ. Christ came and took the punishment for the sin of man. His sacrifice paid the debt we could not pay and bought the pardon we could not afford. This pardon is not imputed or ascribed to all men, but only those who would in faith repent, and believe that Jesus is Lord. Abandon your will and become sanctified through the indwelling power of the Holy Ghost. This is the gospel, and this is the only way to be delivered from sin and hell.
Understand that God is in heaven and sits on the throne, you do not. If you choose to forget God and leave him out of your life you reject the only way out of sin, and the only way to escape hell. Truly, John three sixteen tells us: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
